Who We Serve
A family who has suffered through a house fire very often has nothing left but the clothes on their backs. In the matter of a few hours their lives are turned upside-down and they're left wondering where they will live and for how long until their home can be repaired or replaced. They need a caring shoulder to lean on and a strong hand to help them get back up on their feet.
Whether the loss is as catastrophic as a fire or something less serious, when a family is forced out of their home, they need some place to turn. We want to be that place. Some of the causes we will help with include:
- Flood / Water Damage
- Tornado / Wind Damage
- Structural Damage
- Mold / Radon / Other Health Concerns
As a general rule, loss of home by foreclosure or eviction does not qualify and we do not seek to be a homeless shelter. However, we will assess applicants with special circumstances on a case-by-case basis. We will help regardless of your income level or whether or not you have insurance.
If multiple applications are received at once, priority will be given to residents of Jefferson County, IN, and families with children. Otherwise we operate on a first-come basis and maintain a waiting list if needed.
